A half filed, 55 gallon drum is tipped over on side for access while hinges are scooped out into a box for shipping department. This improper removal process requires correction. Solution: A metal bracket is placed on this side of the barrel to hold a cardboard box; a special magnet is used to lift hinges safety out of the barrel. This new process is 75% faster. Reduces exposure to back injury and reduces the weight of each load to a 17 pound capacity. Problem: Employee jumped from back of trailer onto ground and broke his ankle. Solution: Split, portable stairs built with guardrail allows safe access by employees and forklift at the same time. Problem: Four employees unloading a 40-foot trailer. Solution: New conveyor linkup from loading dock directly into bed of trailer requires one worker and eliminates any extended lifting.   Print this page
